My boyfriend bought me the under-sink, alkaline water system for Christmas. The company is very evasive. My water tastes like baking soda and they won't tell me what's in their mineral cartridge. I've been waiting a week for "engineering" to get back to me (per the help desk) and no one has. I've been told multiple things at this point: "minerals", "magnesium and calcium", "sodium, magnesium and calcium" and also "proprietary mineral blend." I believe I have a right to know what's in the bleeping water. I find it very creepy.

To add more to the creepiness, their "social media manager" removed my comment on their Facebook page. I've NEVER seen a company do that before, no matter how big. They typically leave up unflattering comments but AquaTru is pulling a China and censoring customer comments on Facebook. Double Creepy!

I only put this machine on my Christmas list because Mamavation recommended it, but they're mysterious alkaline cartridge is actually making me sick. I can taste baking soda flavor in my nose after drinking their water and I certainly don't need bleeping baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) in my water if that's their secret recipe.

Hey AquaTru, why the big evasion and what's in the water?

After one week of waiting, I opened DPD website to check where my shipment is. Unfortunately the item is stuck in the Netherlands. So I emailed the company multiple times and no one is replying.. The last email I sent is cancelling the order and I demanded a refund. Of course no one answered that email as well. I will forward this issue to my credit card company so they refund my money. Absolutely not recommended to buy anything from this company!

This is the best purchase we have made in a very long time! I absolutely love this device and the tap water now tastes amazing because it is going through the filters of AquaTru. The taste is much clean and fresher!

I ordered an AquaTru in November 2016. My box arrived with a huge dent in the box. Fortunately, the system was well protected with very sturdy materials. The setup was very easy and fast. Nothing complicated.

This RO system requires much less maintenance work. The most important is to FULLY empty the tap (unfiltered) water tank after each filtering cycle. Also, I clean the tank with a clean toothbrush and vinegar every other week. In the manual, it says to clean the tanks every week but as far as you don't see any sediment build up or even algae growing, I guess every other week is OK. Of course, change filters as needed.
